Since menstruation is a natural process of most women’s lives, it is important to maintain good menstrual hygiene practices. Using sanitary pads during periods is a common and hygienic way to manage menstrual flow.
However, it is unfortunate that many women and adolescent girls are unable to access these necessary products, often because they are either too expensive or unavailable, particularly in rural areas in India.
In fact, the average woman will experience menstruation every month for around 35 years of her life, which means that she will need 20,000 sanitary pads during this period an average.
